Cora Truax

Cora Lee (Bradley) Truax of Pewee Valley, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the age of 75. Cora was a talented seamstress and avid crocheter. She was a wonderful blend of spunky, sassy and sweet and had an immeasurable amount of love for her husband (also known as “sugar”), children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending every summer on Dale Hollow Lake with her family. Cora is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Walter “Tommy” Truax; her daughters, Donna (Steve) Ader and Sharon (Jon) Truax-Slavey; grandchildren, Benjamin (Reagan) Ader, Virginia Ader, MollyJane Ader, Erica (Devon) Slavey, and Aaron Slavey; great-granddaughters, Callie and Amelia. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Bradley. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40241. Additional visitation will follow the next day, Friday, December 17th from 11 am until the Funeral Service at 1 pm, all at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kris Landers Foundation, 2610 Stonefield Lane, La Grange, KY 40031.
