William "Will" Lawrence Hoferkamp

William “Will” Lawrence Hoferkamp passed suddenly on October 24, 2024. Will was born on July 29, 1975, to William “Bill” and Carol Hoferkamp in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his family deeply. Will was often the life of the party and was always very outgoing. Will was blessed athletically. In his early years, he was a standout football player at South Oldham High School and continued that love into college. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his fur baby, Jax, fishing, hunting, hiking, cycling and just about anything related to the UofL Cardinals. Will liked to stay on the move until a cycling accident left him injured later in life. He struggled daily with the pain and change in life style resulting from the accident. We have peace that Will is no longer struggling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Will is preceded in death by his grandparents. 

Left to cherish his memory, Will is survived by his mother, Carol Hoferkamp; father, William “Bill” Hoferkamp (Sherry); sister, Dacia Croot (Dr. Chris Croot); beloved stepbrother, Evan Bowman; nephew, Charles Croot; fur baby, Jax; and a host of extended family and close friends. 

A funeral service for Mr. Will Hoferkamp will be held at 1 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service. A private graveside service for immediate family only will follow the funeral service. 

In lieu of flower donations, the family requests that donations be made to the Oldham County Youth Football League or a charity of your choice in Will's memory.
