Ronald E Hardin, 77, of Louisville joined our Heavenly Father on January 8th 2021. Born on Christmas Eve to his parents in West Virginia, Ron was a faithful Christian and a Baptist who led a life committed to service. Early in life he proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps, he was a volunteer fireman for his community for 15 yrs for Worthington Fire Dept as well as providing a plethora of other service works without ceasing. Ron’s most prolific and dedicated work was that he was the Recording Secretary for the Executive Board of the UAW Local 862 for over 25 yrs at Ford Motor Co where he forged life long friendships and touched the lives of many. Anyone who knew Ron knows he was an avid UofL fan and it was his life time passion. He has now gone to join his mother and father who have proceeded him in death, Evelyn and Arthur Hardin. Those cherishing his memory who have been passed the torch include: His loving wife, soulmate, and life partner of 53 years, Lorraine as well as his loving and adoring daughters Laura Ernst (Brian) and Nicole “Nic” Hardin. Also missing him are his grandsons and Little Buddies Elijah and Daniel Ernst, his brothers Bernard Hardin and Victor Hardin, and sister Rosa Dargan, and many nieces, nephews, and a great host of friends, coworkers and colleagues. The family will celebrate his life privately in accordance to public health limitations are planning a memorial service for everyone as soon as it is safe to do so.
