Sisler, Robert R. "Bob",
passed away peacefully at his home in Louisville, from natural causes on Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was 86 years old.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Rose Sisler (74), his parents Gerald and Jessie Sisler and a grandson, Duane Colin Albright.
He is survived by three children, Sharon Albright (John), Gary Sisler (Laura) and Susan "Mouse" (Tim), all of Louisville; his twin brother Richard Sisler (Karen) of Honolulu, HI. His grandchildren, Delaney and Jess Albright, Matt Sislerand Benji and Jonathan Lehmann, also survive him. Bob also leaves behind his beloved cat of many years, Max.
He graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served our country in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bob worked for more than 35 years at General Electric, first with the Jet Engine Division in Cincinnati, and later with GE Appliances in Louisville. He holds multiple patents. He served as a mentor and friend to many at Kentucky Metal Fabrication. Bob volunteered his time visiting with patients and counseling at Central State Hospital. He also served as a mentor through GE with Junior Achievement.
Because of his love of animals, his family requests donations in his name to the Kentucky Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
