Philip Anson Smith

Philip Anson Smith, 82 of Taylorsville, Kentucky passed away on August 22, 2024. He was born to the late Jack and Irma Smith on October 2, 1942, in Louisiana. He is survived by the love of his life, Phyllis Smith. They have been married for 49 years. Philip served in the Navy and was proud to serve his country. Left behind to carry on Philips love and memories are his siblings, Doris Smith, Jack Smith (Mary), and Ronnie Smith, his daughters, Heather Johnson (Jonathan), and Tammy Wilson-Elmore. His son, Gabriel Ethan Wilson along with being blessed with his grandchildren Jesse New, Glen Elmore, Ethan Wilson, Devin Strothoff, Owen Johnson, Guy Wilson, and Aniston Johnson. Philip was honored to be a great grandfather to Lily New, and Liam Strothoff. Philip is joining loved ones in heaven, his brothers, Rod and James Smith. And his granddaughter Samantha. During his free time, he enjoyed wood working, mowing the grass, spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Services will follow at 1:00pm
