Mary Lou Hennis (Withers) of Idaho, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at a local care facility of natural causes.
Mary Lou was a member of Work of Truth Baptist Church where she had many friends and will be greatly missed.
Mary Lou was born to Buford and Ruth Withers in La Grange on November 6, 1949 at the old Mallory Taylor Hospital in La Grange.
She graduated from Oldham County High School in Buckner and Sullivan Business College in Louisville. She was an excellent bookkeeper, great cook, professional candy maker (known as the Candy Lady) and a talented floral designer. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her father and mother, Buford and Ruth (Brown) Withers of Caldwell; son, Greg (Shelly)Ferguson of Caldwell; brother, Donald (Beverly) Withers of La Grange; Uncle Lewis Withers of Oxnard, CA, and two grandchildren, cousins, nieces and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Mae Withers and Alfred and Lou Brown; aunts, Lola Hetterman and Bobby Kitten; and uncle, Tom Withers.
Mary Lou will be brought back to Kentucky for burial. Her graveside service will be March 3, 2016 at the chapel at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. A memorial service was held in Caldwell Aid on Friday, February 26, 2016.
