Mary Harrod

HARROD, MARY, loving wife and mother, passed away on April 10, 2014. She was born in Shelby County on March 12, 1924 and lived most of her 90 years in Oldham County surrounded by family. She loved horse racing and NASCAR and like most mothers a wonderful cook. Mary was preceded in death by her only daughter, Charlotte White Skaggs; brothers, W.T. White (Carol) and Charles Doss White (Betsy). Survivors include her devoted husband of 66 years, Horace R. Harrod Sr.; sons, Horace R. Harrod Jr. (Barbara) and Tony K. Harrod (Donna); grandchildren, Justin Rice Harrod (Shawna), Jordan Clay Harrod (Tara) and Clay Rice; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Molly, Hannah and Cooper; sisters, Lodie Salter (Jack) and Paula Moore (Bobby). with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.. Earth knows no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
