Marlena Edmonson

Marlena Kay Edmonson of Hudson, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the age of 63. Marlena was an extremely kind and generous woman to family and friends; she was the loving caregiver to her husband Roy for many years. Marlena enjoyed doing crafts like diamond painting, gardening in her flowerbed, watching hummingbirds and spending time with her family.

Marlena is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Roy Edmonson; children, Sabrina Edmonson, Keith Edmonson and Sarah Edmonson (Jason Bowman); grandchildren, Dylan and Hunter Johnson, Cheyenne and Alissa Edmonson, Gabriella and Skylar Bowman; sisters, Virginia “Virgie” (Earl) Bennett and Vicki Shenks; and brothers, Gregory “Greg” (Becky) Wisner, Douglas “Doug” (Terri) Wisner, Kenneth “Kenny” (Joann) Smith, Richard “Dick” (Mary) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merril and Mary Geraldine Smith; sister, Barbara “Barb” (Bill) Ward; and brothers, Dennis “Denny” (Sandy) Smith, Merril “Mick” (Helen) Smith, and James “Jim” (Marge) Wisner.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 11 am until the Funeral Service at 2 pm, all at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40241. Entombment will immediately follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Marlena's family would like to thank the Hosparus team for their kind and compassionate care.
