Lonnie Williams

Lonnie Wayne Woolfork-Mays Williams, formerly of Elyria, Ohio, passed away at his home in Louisville, Ky. On Saturday, August 1, 2015 after a long illness. Lonnie was born in Barbourville, Ky. on December 10, 1950 to Anna Dee Woolfork Williams and Reo Mays.
Lonnie worked at Stanadyne Moen Corporation, Elyria Foundry, and several construction and rehab firms as a painter in Elyria. He continued working construction and rehab work in Louisville when he relocated to Louisville in 2001. Lonnie graduated from Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Ohio. His greatest joys were spending time with his family, friends and working around his home especially in the yard tending to his flowers.
He is survived by his wife, Almaleen "Alma", sons, Lonnie Wayne Williams Jr., Darnell Williams, and Ronell Williams (Keda) of Elyria, Ohio; daughters, Delania Tolento Fenn of Atlanta, Georgia and Alonda Williams of Lorain, Ohio: stepchildren, Shona Rose, Chicago, Ill. , Erik Holston (Kim) of North Olmsted, Ohio: sister, Darlin Sparks (Syvoid) of Sandusky, Ohio: uncles, Leon Woolfork Sr. (Jean) of Elyria, Ohio and Herman Woolfork Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio. 25 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Dee Williams, father, Reo Mays, sister, Reona Mays Williams, stepfather, John Williams, maternal grandparents, Herman and Clara Woolfork and paternal grandmother, Esther Mays.
