Jose Gonzalez Hernandez

Jose Gerardo Gonzalez Hernandez of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 62. Jose was born in El Salvador to the late Marcroi Gonzalez Hernandez and Rosa Candida Rivera. He moved to the United States in 1980 and spent 10 years in Texas before moving to Kentucky in 1990. Jose began and operated his own business, Gonzalez Pro Cleaning. His son Juan joined him in the business. Jose cherished his family and was very devoted to them, he enjoyed going shopping with daughter Melinda and fixing things with his son Juan. He was also extremely helpful to many people in the Hispanic community. He was a very loving, careful and joyful man that will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Jose is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Rosa N. Cantarero; children, Reina Noemi Zambrano (Jorge Zambrano), Silvia Margarita Gonzalez (Tony Angel Pleitez), Elsy Roxana Gonzalez (Ismael Enrique Bonilla), Jose Gerardo Gonzalez (Marleni Nohemi Gonzalez), Darlin Lisseth Gonzalez (Rudys Asael Chave), Melinda Rosa Gonzalez, and Juan Jose Gonzalez; grandchildren, Ismael Alejandro Bonilla, Mathew Enrique Bonilla, Naomi Zambrano, Jorge Zambrano, Britani Zambrano, Reina Esmeralda Bermudez, Jeffri Alexander Bermudez, Emerita Elizabeth Montano, Kevin Antonio Chavez, Ashly Alexandra Gonzalez, Grace Leslie Gonzalez, and Katherine Rachael Chavez; and sister, Maria Simona Rivera de Alvarado. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcroi Gonzalez Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10 am until the Funeral Service at 2 pm, all at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241. Interment will immediately follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
