Carr, John Bianchi, 76, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on June 1, 2015.
He was born on August 20, 1938 in Macon, MO. He was the only son of Lucy and Ralph Carr, who preceded him in death along with two sisters, Marguerite Michael and Roselle Messenger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary, beloved children, Sara Carr Artopoeus (Jerry) of Decatur, GA, Tim Carr (Wendy) of San Antonio, TX, Steve Carr (Gina) of Louisville, KY and Amy Carr Rogers (John) of Nashville, TN and five adored grandchildren: Amanda Carr, Michael, Tessa and Christian Carr and Lara Rogers. Also survived by his devoted sister, Jean Grubaugh of Macon, MO and 12 nephews and nieces.
He graduated from Macon High School in 1956, and was the president of his senior class and co-captain of the football team. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1961 with a bachelors degree in marketing and business. He worked as a salesman for Wendt-Sonis Company, Wilhelm Tool Agency and started his own business in 1973, Carr Tool Agency, selling industrial tools.
John was an avid giver of his time, talent and treasure: as a coach for youth baseball and football teams; as a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society helping to serve meals to the men's and women's homeless shelters; and as a volunteer who was nicknamed the "milkman" furnishing milk along with non-perishable food to Eastern Area Community Ministries. He loved children and gave generously to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Crusade for Children, U.S. Olympic teams and many veteran charities.
Private burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
