Jeremy Woodruff

July 3, 1983 — September 21, 2015

Jeremy R. Woodruff, 32, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21st with his loving family and friends all around him.

Jeremy fought a tough fight but lost his battle with all the injuries sustained from a tragic motorcycle accident.

Jeremy was a 12 year veteran of the United States Marine Corp where he served three tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Southern Philippines. He continued to proudly serve his country as an active reservist in the United States Marine Corp.

He was a second-year law student at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law where he established the Veteran's Group and was a law clerk at Travis & Herbert, PLLC. While Jeremy loved playing golf, following his UL Cards and staying actively involved in veterans affairs, his top priorities in life were their two children. Jeremy's zest for life was contagious. All who knew him loved him.

Jeremy is survived by his loving wife Ashley Broady Woodruff and two dear young children Savannah (2) and Max (4 months). He is also survived by his parents Kris (Des) Baker and Jeff Woodruff, brothers Cody (Alex) Woodruff and Justin Baker, sister, Korree Tharp, loving In-laws, Russell and Brenda Broady, brother in-law, Jimmy (Britt) Broady, and niece and nephew. He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him more than anyone could imagine.

Entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

The family would also like to publicly thank the doctors and staff on the eighth floor at University Hospital who worked so tirelessly on Jeremy and helped to make his family and many friends so welcomed during their vigil for Jeremy's fight to survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Jeremy Woodruff Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Louisville School of Law. The address is 2323 S. Brook Street, Room 103E, Louisville KY 40292.
