James Moore

July 21, 1934 — September 25, 2015

James Moore, born July 21, 1934, crossed over into the presence of our Lord, September 25, 2015, at 81 years of age. James is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Click (Feb-12), of Ashland and Louisville; wife Joanna Williams (July-06) of LaGrange and Louisville; by step-granddaughter, Valerie (2004); son, Jeffrey (1961); and by sister Leona (1957).

James is survived by three sons; Jay (Cindy), Charlie (Nancy), and Steve; by 3 stepchildren; Georgie Swan (Jeff), Ray Williams (Linda), and Joe Williams (Charlotte); by 6 grandchildren; Melissa, Joshua, Cindy, Ryan, David, and Patrick; 7 step-grandchildren; Paula, Jonathan, Wesley, Patrick, Julie, Amanda, and Andrew; by 8 great-grandchildren; and by 13 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters; Phyllis Dickerhoff , Barbara Snow and Caroline Alexander.

James was born in Lawrence County, Kentucky, county seat Louisa, to Ella Marie Ball Moore and William McKinley Moore. The oldest of 5 siblings, he was raised and lived in Appalachian foothills between Lawrence County, Kentucky and Pike County, Ohio until his late teens, when he, his parents and sisters moved to suburban Louisville. After working with various vocations, James retired in December of 1994, from Ford Motor Company, Louisville Assembly Plant after 25 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers union and deeply cherished by all who knew him.
