James E Fisher Sr. 2-6-1943 to 11-7-2018
Passed away on 11-7-2018 at the VA Medical center after a long battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his Mother Eileen Rockwell, Father Edmond Fisher and sister Cecelia Duran. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Rose M. Fisher (Wooldridge), 3 children Jimmy (Kim), Cyndi Hasken (Brian), Steve (Jennifer), 7 grandchildren, Brooke, Luke, Makenna, Kaden, Brianna, Kamryn, and Brennan. Brother Ed (Karen), sister Marty Mirer (Piers).
Jim lived a fulfilled life. He graduated from Tulare Union High in 1961, in Tulare California. He served in the Army as a Lab Technician from 61-63. Married the love of his life, Rose, of 51 years in June of 1967. Jim was employed at International Harvester Forge Shop until they closed, and then Pillsbury as a Maintenance Manager, until he retired in 2002. He raced figure 8 at the FMS in the 70’s, was known as “Junkie Jim” across the CB airwaves and KB4IS as a HAM radio technician. He and Rose traveled the United States with their friends on their Harleys in the 80’s & 90’s. He was Master of his Masonic Lodge PRP 959 and Potentate of Kosair Shrine temple in 2008. He served on the Board of Kosair Charities. Children of Oldham County knew him as their beloved bus driver, before he retired last year in 2017. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa Brother, and Friend to all that knew him.
