James Blackwell

James Andrew "Drew" Blackwell, 81, husband of Rachael Cork Blackwell, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Drakesboro, Ky. July 7, 1933 the son of the late Thomas & Mabel Jackson Blackwell.
Drew had worked at General Electric and had also been co-owner of Quality Electric Motor Services. He was a 22 year member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran and was involved with many community services.
Besides his wife of 21 years he is survived by his children, Brian Blackwell, Kyle Jay Blackwell (Becky), Jill Hicks (Hugh) and Jeff Jones (Karen), 1 sister, Taffy Farmer, grandchildren, David Lee Blackwell, Kyle David Blackwell, Jonathan Roberts, Kathryn Elizabeth Dixon, Christian Harrison HIcks, Hugh Kirkpatrick Hicks, Harper Jeffrey Hicks, Kelsey Jean Jones, Karlee Jane Jones, Bobby Thomas Jones, Marisa Vance, Michaela Albanese and Kaitlyn Albanese, great grandchildren, Raegan E. Hicks, Bryce Dixon, Gabby Dixon, Landon Dixon and Raylan Roberts. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katie and brothers, Coleman, Glenn, Earl and Pete.
