Howard Rhodes

Howard Rhodes, 90, died at his home from natural causes September 13, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Davis Rhodes.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Corydon, Indiana March 18, 1924. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran having served in both World War II and the Korean War, achieving the rank of Master Sargeant. Mr. Rhodes was also a retired Marine Engineer having worked with American Bureau of Shipping.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Nancy Rhodes Heathman of Lexington, son, Britt D. Rhodes of Louisville, sister-in-law, Helen W. Davis of Albuquerque, N.M., three grandchildren, Lacy Rhodes Heathman & Sarah Ann Heathman, both of Lexington and B. Davis Rhodes Jr. of Louisville.
A private burial is planned. Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East is in charge of arrangements.
