Obituary for Evelyn Kamer Kaelin
Evelyn J. Kamer Kaelin, 97, passed away Thursday, August 14th, 2014 after suffering a stroke. She was a retired grocer and homemaker known for her delicious Southern cooking. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Snow" Kaelin, with whom she opened and owned Kaelin's Market in Lyndon. She and her husband were members of the St. Joseph's Orphans Society as well as founding members of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.
Evelyn is survived by her children Ellen Venhoff (Donald), Polly Mackey, and Ted Kaelin, Jr. and her grandchildren Eleanor Renfroe (Sean), Jimmie Venhoff (Hannah), Lauren Mackey, and Brian Kaelin. In the past year, she was blessed with two great-granddaughters: Cameron Venhoff and Evelyn Renfroe. She also leaves many beloved relatives and friends. The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Ajmani and all the kind staff of 3 West at Norton's Hospital Brownsboro for their compassionate care.
Evelyn's funeral mass will be at St. Albert the Great 1395 Girard Drive on Monday at 10 am. . Donations may be made in her memory to the following: Norton Healthcare Foundation/Neuroscience, Hosparus, Mass of the Air, and St. Albert the Great.
