Eurtha Clemons

Eutha Auldridge Clemons passed away October 31, 2018 at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Delbert Clemons, with whom she now has some catching up to do. At their wedding, the best man said the marriage wouldn’t last a year and they spent 53 years proving him wrong. Eutha was also preceded in death by her beloved, adopted parents Robert and Margaret Auldridge,

A loving mother and homemaker, with a large social circle, she and Delbert traveled extensively, with scarcely a road, town or state that they had not explored. Her social circles were large and her house filled with noise, food, pets, and activity of all sorts and, every year, a Christmas tree that was too big, because Christmas was serious business at her house. She was a staunch Cardinals fan, whom you knew never to bother when a game was on, no matter the score. She led a rich and full life, and we are so glad to have been a part of it.

She is survived by: daughter Carol Bell (Mike Bell); son Mark Clemons (Sue Clemons) of Virginia; Grandchildren Dr.Megan Durham (Dave Durham), Sheridan Clemons, and Sam Clemons (Judit Just); Great granddaughter Aubrey Durham

Separated from her birth family early in life by circumstance, she is also survived by sister Charlene Shirley, who spent 60 years looking for her before they were reunited this year and brother George Pierce, both of Mattoon IL. We are so glad she kept looking. Brother Edward Pierce and sister Ruth Pierce preceded her in death, as did her birth parents Sanford and Emma Pierce.

A private, graveside service will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
