Eugene Kidwell

Eugene "Gene" Kidwell, 69, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, husband of Merlyn Yates Kidwell, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Lehigh Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
He was born in Hall, Indiana May 2, 1946 the son of the late Kenneth & Mary Williams Kidwell. Gene was a construction superintendent for over 25 years and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Besides his wife of 33 years he is survived by 3 children, 3 step-children, 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and 2 step sisters. He was preceded in death by 1 sister.
Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project.
A graveside service to celebrate Gene's life and with Military Honors will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East is in charge of arrangements.
