Dorothy Barr
November 24, 1917 — May 25, 2015
Barr, Dorothy K., 97, of Louisville, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at The HOSPARUS Inpatient Care Center with her daughter by her side.
Dorothy lived an amazing life. She and her husband enjoyed traveling , especially vacationing in Hawaii. She also enjoyed dancing, painting, ceramics, decorating and spending time with her family. She always said "Family is the most important thing". We were blessed to have had her for almost 98 years.
Dorothy was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and regularly attended New Life Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Barr; and her son, Leslie J. Barr.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter; Beverly Barr Ackerman (Harold C. "Bud"); grandchildren; Laura Barr Musselman (Mark), Katie Ferriell Crotzer (Will), Jennifer Ferriell Birge (Richard); eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Christopher, Christopher John, Jacob, Ty, Devon, Olivia and Corey.
Entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
