Donald L. Grasch

Donald L. Grasch, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 24, 2024. Born on December 24, 1942, to Robert and Goldie Grasch, Donald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for family defined his life.

A hardworking individual, Donald dedicated over 30 years to International Harvester, where his commitment and diligence earned him respect among colleagues. In retirement, he continued to serve his community as a school bus driver for the Oldham County School District, always bringing a smile to the faces of the children he transported.

Donald was passionate about NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He cherished attending the Daytona 500 every year, sharing the excitement with fellow racing fans. A lover of music, he often found joy in the soundtrack of O Brother, Where Art Thou, which resonated deeply with him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and a passion for life.

Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Grasch; his parents, Robert and Goldie Mae Grasch; and his daughter, Cheryl Moeller.

Left to cherish his memory, Donald is survived by a son, Brian Grasch (Tracy); 6 grandchildren, Noah Carter, Meagan Rivera (Jesus), Justin Grasch, Tyler Grasch (Melissa), Sarah Grasch (Todd), and Jacob Grasch (Angela); 13 great-grandchildren,  Jayden Rivera, Jaxon Rivera, Devin Grasch, Jeremy Grasch, David Grasch, Xavier Young-Epperson, Peyton Grasch, Jackson Grasch, Elizabeth Grasch, Emilia Grasch, Todd Bryant III, Georgia Bryant, and Kingston Grasch; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Donald Grasch will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, October1, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery will follow the service.
