Dale Stuart Lang

Dale Stuart Lang, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his home in Louisville, Kentucky, with his beloved family by his side. He was born on May 5, 1939, in Lansing, Michigan, to Forrest and Margaret Lang. Dale lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those who mattered most to him.

Dale was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and his love for them knew no bounds. He had an infectious sense of humor and a gift for making others laugh, often being the life of the party at family gatherings and social events. His presence brought warmth and happiness to every room he entered.

A rock for his family and a friend to many, Dale was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was in his neighborhood or at church. He was a longtime member and deacon at Middletown United Methodist Church in Eastwood, where he contributed to his community with unwavering faith and compassion.

In his free time, Dale pursued many hobbies with passion and creativity. He was an avid painter, specializing in acrylic on canvas, and a skilled woodworker. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of golfing, fishing, and traveling to his favorite destinations, including Florida, Lake Cumberland, and Hawaii, where he cherished countless memories with his family.

Dale's legacy of kindness, humor, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a beloved figure whose positive spirit and dedication to his loved ones will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Lang and Margaret Hildebrandt Lang; and his grandson, Cody Klefot. 

Left to cherish his memory, Dale is survived by his loving wife of 64+ years, Marilyn Lowe Lang, his 2 daughters, Lisa Steinbock (Tom), and Pam Klefot (Matt), his granddaughter, Jessica Weis (Brent); his great-granddaughter, Ellie Weis; his sister, Nancy Welter; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Dale Lang will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11602 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. A memorial gathering will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Dale's honor to Middletown United Methodist Eastwood Campus.
