Curtis Cowley Sr., 65, of Crestwood, husband of Brenda Cowley, who was his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, and the son of John S. Cowley (Phylis) & the late Joyce Cain Cowley, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville. Curtis was born September 5, 1950 in Louisville and was a retired truck driver having driven for many companies for 36 years, most recently for Holland Freight. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Crestwood and the Middletown VFW. He was also a Vietnam War veteran, Purple Heart recipient, having served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, bowling and golf.
Here to carry on his memory besides his wife and father are daughters, Shannon Cowley Dixon, Stacy Cowley Naslund (Eric), son, John Curtis Cowley Jr. (Missy), grandchildren, Eric & Nick Linker, Ariel Schneider, Alex Naslund and Kaylin Cowley, brothers, Wayne & Johnny Cowley and Alan Westermann, sisters, Sandy Cowley, Karen Leffler, Kathy O'Neil and Kim Westermann (Bart). Many Nieces and nephews also survive.
