Bill Cummings

Bill Cummings, 84, husband of Naomi Sullivan Cummings, died Monday July 29, 2013 at the Hosparus Care Center. Born in Louisville January 28, 1929 he is the son of the late Ernest & Mabel Wegenast Cummings. Bill was a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, had been a civil engineer with, and Assistant Vice- President of LG&E. He was also a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Besides his wife of 58 years he is survived by 4 sons; Stephen (Rebecca) Cummings, David (Patricia) Cummings, Jeffrey (Gary) Cummings and Patrick (Amy) Cummings. His sister; Ernestine Harris, son-in-law, Craig King and 9 grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth King and one son, Richard Kent Cummings.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00 am until 1:00 pm , Thursday August 1, 2013 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd.
