Betty Moore

Betty Jean Moore, loving wife to Gene A. Moore passed away on Sunday May 29, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Clifton C. and Leola Frazier Demaree in Defoe, KY on July 7, 1933. She was also preceded in death by a son David A. Moore and grandson Joseph Ray Magers.
Betty graduated from the 1951 class of Pleasureville High School and was a member of Highview Baptist Church. She worked at Kaufman's Department Store, Waldman's Discount Pharmacy, was a tour guide for Toby Tours, and was an administrative assistant for The Arthritis Foundation. She traveled to every state in the Union (except Hawaii), was an excellent cook, loved puzzles, and she was a wonderful seamstress. Betty loved movies, music, the Arts especially her granddaughters' plays and dance performances.
Betty was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who was loved very much and was married for nearly 65 years to the love of her life, Gene, who adored her as well.
Besides her husband, of 64 years, she is survived by their children, Sandra S. Magers, (Ronnie) of Wasilla, AK, Darrell W. Moore of Winter Park, FL , Patti M. Davis (Glenn) of Louisville, KY, Robin M. Collier (Curt) of Floyds Knobs, IN , grandchildren, Bill Magers (Kayla) of Wasilla, AL, Jennifer L. Davis (Jon Maness) of Louisville, KY, Janet M. Milner (Cody) of Wasilla, AK, Katherine E. Davis,of Louisville, KY, Danielle Woodward (Zach), Christian C. Collier of Indianapolis, IN, and five great-grandchildren, Roman, Hadrian, and Aurora Milner, Bristol Magers and Healy Magers, all of Wasilla Alaska.
