Analee Topper Mendenhall, 81, died Thursday March 26, 2015 at Baptist Health in Louisville. She was born January 17, 1934 in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank Albert & Helen Messner Topper. The youngest of 3 children she possessed a contaigious smile and an entertaining, infectious laugh. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Her signature gifts of servanthood, love and joy will not be forgotten (Proverbs 31)
After graduating from East High in Akron Analee went to Anderson College where she met her "sweetheart" Eugene Mendenhall. They married at Fort Benning, Ga. On Thanksgiving Day 1953. Married for 61 years, Gene & Analee raised 4 children, Debbie Schauberger (Steve) of Bowling Green, Ky., David Mendenhall of Eminence, Ky., Mike Mendenhall (Kathy) of Bradenton, Fl., and Shari Cox (Raymond) of Middletown, Ky.
Possessing a true servants heart Analee faithfully cared for family and friends through cooking and baking. A woman of faith and the heart of the Mendenhall family, Analee shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example and also through various Chuch of God Missions Ministries and teaching Sunday School. With a true zeal for life, Analee loved to play, read and pray with her family & friends, especially her 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A service celebrating Analee's life will be held 1:00 pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd., Visitation will be from 2 to 6 Sunday and 11:00 am Monday until service time. The family's wish is memorials be made to Larchmont Church of God.
