Gwen Kessler

Gwen Lee Kessler of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the age of 84. Gwen was a graduate of duPont Manual High School in Louisville. She was a lover of horses, nature, crossword puzzles, playing cards and games. Gwen was a former member of American Turners. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hilda Kessler. Gwen is survived by her children, Lea Anne (Walter) Montgomery, Andrea (Darryl) Redmon and John (Chandra) Fischer; granddaughter, Elizabeth Montgomery; and siblings, Jim (Alice) Kessler and Ashli Kessler. An informal graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40241. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gwen's name to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org/ways-to-give.
